W. Michael Strickland was born in Claxton, Georgia on May 23, 1944. He was admitted to the Georgia Bar in December of 1973.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY in 1966, and his Juris Doctor in 1973 from the University of Georgia. He was a member of Phi Alpha Delta. Mr. Strickland is a member and past president of the Piedmont Circuit Bar Association and a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
His practice areas include Commercial and Residential Real Estate, Wills, Trusts and Probate.
Samuel L. Chesnutt was born in Auburn, Alabama on February 5, 1948. He earned his B.A. degree from Auburn University in 1970. He was inducted into Phi Eta Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi.
Mr. Chesnutt earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia in 1975. He was a member of Phi Alpha Delta and an officer in the law school student government. Mr. Chesnutt is a member of the Western Circuit Bar Association and a past president of the Piedmont Bar Association.
His practice areas include Real Estate and Probate.
John J. Lindsay was born in Tallahassee, Florida on December 20, 1957. He was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1992. He earned his Bachelors Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida in 1980 and his Juris Doctor Degree in 1991 from Delaware Law School.
Mr. Lindsay is a member and past president of the Piedmont Bar Association. He is also a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Mr. Lindsay served 32 years in the United States Navy and retired at the rank of Commander.
His practice areas include Wrongful Death, Personal Injury, Divorce and Domestic Litigation, Commercial Litigation, and Probate.
Lauren P. Ellison represents clients in matters related to family law, criminal defense, commercial litigation, workers’ compensation, and personal injury. Lauren graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law. While attending law school, Lauren served on the editorial board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law.
Prior to attending law school, Lauren graduated from Vanderbilt University, cum laude, where she double majored in Political Science and Communications Studies. When Lauren is away from the office she enjoys spending time with family and friends, practicing pilates, and gardening.
Chris A. Corbett, a life-long resident of Georgia, represents clients in matters relating to criminal defense, family law, and commercial litigation. Chris graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law, cum laude.
While in law school, he served on the editorial board for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law and completed an internship with the State Court of Athens-Clarke County. Before attending law school, Chris attended Vanderbilt University, where he graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into Vanderbilt’s chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.
Chris is fluent in French, having lived and studied in Quebec City, Paris, and Aix-en-Provence. When he is away from the office, Chris enjoys running, playing piano, and reading.
Christopher M. Comerford is based in our Dahlonega office, and represents clients throughout much of North Georgia. Christopher represents clients with a variety of legal needs including family law, criminal defense, commercial litigation, and consumer bankruptcy.
Christopher graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law. A “Double Dawg,” Christopher attend the University of Georgia for his undergraduate studies as well. He graduated magna cum laude where he majored in History. Christopher lives in beautiful Dahlonega, Georgia, and when he is away from the office spends his time with his wife Nicole raising their newborn son Patrick.
